Later he wants to become a teacher or wants to work in the medical service or sports medicine.

How was it like on location?

I was very excited about the fact, that we were shooting inside a field. But it was awfully hot, too.

What were your thoughts while reading the script?

I was thinking about all this so differential as it was made. And it was my first time doing a movie. If I will do a movie again, maybe I will read the script in some other way and concentrate on other details. Actually I can't describe how I was thinking about it, when I read it, because I can't remember.

When you saw the film, did you often think about the development of the scenes on set?

I believe, if I will be concentrating in front of the TV, I might remember a lot of it, but I did not think about that, while watching the film, I only enjoyed the pictures.

Was the part you were playing hard to do?

Not really. A lot of it was described in the script, but I think, in real life I would not act this way. For example this scene, when he kicks the ball inside the field because of rage and doesn’t find it again. But this is the story, we were supposed to play.

What do you think about working with animals on set?

I had to play a lot with the mouse and she had to crap a lot. Besides this she did a good job in acting and for that she had no training and no rehearsals.

The crew did a lot of scenes with you and Martin. Does it bother you, that they only left a few minutes of film?

I think it was worth the film, also if it is that short. If we had taken all the ideas and scenes, it wouldn’t have been that thrilling. It was exciting enough to do a movie.

You are a musician and you’re playing guitar. What do you think about the score?

The music is really good working with the pictures. And I think it is pretty cool, that the music still remains, even if there are other important sounds.

What would be a good part for you, to play in your next movie?

Something like Peter Pan. I would like to fly.

Some questions to your mum. Did you recognise your son playing this part?

I think, the boy from the movie is not him, because Moritz is no brooder. I think there are children like this, looking around, very quiet and lost in thought. But this is not Moritz. And he is much more active and vivacious as the films boy. And I saw that there is less of mimic art shown at the beginning of the film and that is why it is so natural to me and doesn’t look like acting.

As preparation for the film you talked a lot about fears and mourning with Moritz. How was that?

We did a lot of mental research. And when I read the script and talked to the director I thought, this is really profound and something that deals with the very inner of somebody. And I couldn’t imagine that children, not having experiences like this till now, would be able to act like this. And I was so surprised about the realisation, regarding to the difficult topic.

Was the film effective?

Depending on whether you let it be effective. This isn’t just entertainment, this is a story, that will tell you something. You really have to use this few minutes of film to let it be effective. And you need to be calm, to be ready for this movie, then you can feel it. It also depends on the viewers way of watching. It's nice to look at, but it's more important that the viewer is willing to be caught by this minutes of film work. And most of all people do not want to be touched by their very innermost parts and are afraid to be moved emotional.

Do you think the film is suitable for children?

Yes, absolutely. Actually you do not expect any behaviour like this by a boy this age. And the topics development was kind of superficial, and this is just the right way to do it in regard to this age. Superficial means for me, children do not have that depth of experiences concerning this topic. I thought, that the director actually would have to scrape awfully deep in the boys minds to create this feelings like mourning and I also was convinced, that the children were too young and eventually they were boys, too. And finally something was created, just as the director wanted it to be and I think it is astonishing how you can deal with that kind of pragmatism regarding to the topic.
